Why is it suggested that we should not drink so much cows milk?

Humans are the only creatures who, by choice, drink other animal's milk. Cows milk is very different from human milk because a calf grows much more quickly than a human baby, so it contains much more calcium, phosphorus and protein. Sounds good eh!

Unfortunately there is a down side. Many of the necessary items for human growth are not present and homogenisation further complicates the process. Indeed there are many complications which seem to be associated with the use of milk today. You can read many documents on the subject, try this link for example

Being a runner, why would I need to eat more protein?

The importance of eating carbohydrate is always reccomended for runners, but, protein is only considered as vital for body builders.

There is no doubt that research shows for fast glycogen replacement after training, carbohydrate restores glycogen levels rapidly. Protein however should be used more regularly for people who train intensely, how else can muscle breakdown be prevented and injury risk reduced. Supplementing makes sense for athletes e.g. a protein drink before a morning run makes sense rather than a carbohydrate drink which may raise blood sugar rapidly. Eating generally before runs is something that few people can tolerate. email us info@getintohealth.com for some reccomendations.
