The 2003 solo North Pole expedition by Ben Saunders took 14 days to complete as he skied from a temporary Russian airstrip to the Pole and back, a total journey of 240+Km. Everyday during this epic adventure Ben munched his way through 6 GO~BARS and drank 3 litres of PSP22 High Energy Sports Fuel. Michael East
Michael East will be Team GB’s sole competitor in the 1500m which has traditionally been a strong event for British athletes in years gone by. The ever improving 2002 Commonwealth Gold Medalist has recently lowered his PB to 3:32:3, a repeat of this performance should see him through to the final and who knows!!

Jason Gardener
Jason Gardener will be a strong medal contender in the blue riband 100m’s event in Athens. Athens will be Jason’s second Olympics and the current World Indoor Champion will be looking for a strong performance and podium finish.

Hayley Tullet
The 2003 1500m World Bronze Medalist will be hoping for more success at her second Olympic Games


Fencing

Richard Kruse
Richard Kruse will be Team GB’s only male fencing competitor in his first Olympics.
The former European Junior Champion will be a strong medal contender in the Foil category.
